2008 Triumph Daytona 675

2008 Daytona 675 Updates

  • New bolder decal on side farings
  • Gold, anodized top nut
  • Improved headlight design for increased performance
  • Two new colors for 2008, Neon Blue and Jet Black

2008 Triumph Daytona 675 - Neon Blue2008 Triumph Daytona 675 - Neon BlueThe Daytona 675 was the first 3-cylinder super sports middleweight and has been very highly rated in this extremely competitive class.

The 675cc, liquid cooled 3-cylinder engine is very compact and is rated at 123 hp at 12,500 rpm with 53 ft. lbs. of torque at 11,750 rpm. The standard 3 into 1 underseat exhaust uses a secondary valve to boost low-end torque. With the close ratio six speed transmission riding at a casual or spirited pace should be enjoyable. The Nissin 4 piston radial calipers and 308mm dual disks up front, single piston and 220mm disc in the rear should be a balanced match for the powerful Daytona 675.

2008 Triumph Daytona 675 - Tornado Red2008 Triumph Daytona 675 - Tornado RedThe 41mm upside down fork and rear shock with remote reservoir are fully adjustable for preload, compression and rebound damping should allow just about every rider suspension tuning for preferred riding style. The lightweight five spoke cast aluminum alloy wheels, front: 17 x 3.5in with 120/17/70, rear: 17 x 5.5 with 180/55/17 are shod with Pirelli Dragon Corso tires.

The Daytona 675 has a listed dry weight of 363 lbs. With a wheelbase of 54.9 inches and rake at 23.9 degrees and trail of 3.6 inches, handling should be very sharp.

2008 Triumph Street Triple

2008 Triumph Street Triple - Available Colors: 2008 Street Triples in Fusion White, Roulette Green and Jet Black.2008 Triumph Street Triple - Available Colors: 2008 Street Triples in Fusion White, Roulette Green and Jet Black. The new-for 2008 Street Triple is available in three colors, Fusion White, Roulette Green and Jet Black.

The combination of the potent Daytona 675 engine and aggressive street fighter styling derived from the Speed triple should be a great package for riders and for Triumph sales.

The 675 engine is tuned for 106 hp at 11,700 rpm with 44 ft. lbs. of torque available from 3,500 to 12,200 rpm, peak torque of 51 ft. lbs. is achieved at 9,100 rpm. With a close ratio six-speed the Street Triple should be extremely capable of strafing back roads.

The rake and trail of the Street Triple are a little less aggressive than the Daytona at 24.3 degrees and 3.75in trail, while dry weight is 367 lbs. The Street Triple could make commuting very fun.

2008 Triumph Thruxton - Tornado Red/White2008 Triumph Thruxton - Tornado Red/White2008 Triumph Thruxton - Top View: Shows off its classic lines.2008 Triumph Thruxton - Top View: Shows off its classic lines. Many manufacturers are building retro styled bikes, who better to build a 1960's inspired cafe racer than Triumph. The Thruxton gets its name from the famous racing Triumphs of the 1960's.

Triumph raised the one piece handlebar for a sporty but more upright riding position, the bar end mirrors were designed for the Thruxton. The gas cap release was redesigned and is 60% easier to release.

The big change for 2008 is fuel injection. To retain the classic look the throttle bodies were designed to look like carburettors. The 865cc in-line twin is rated at 69hp at 7,400 rpm and 52 ft. lbs. of torque at 5,800 rpm. Combined with modern suspension, brakes and tires the Thruxton will provide a classic looking ride with modern attitude.

2008 Triumph Scrambler - Aluminum Silver/Tangerine2008 Triumph Scrambler - Aluminum Silver/TangerineLooking for a bike with original dual purpose styling inspired by the 60's thrill seekers that rode and raced their Triumphs in the Southern California desert? This is your next bike with modern components. Seeing this bike I envision Steve McQueen and the classic movie "On Any Sunday".

The Scramblers fuel injected 865cc inline twin is tuned for 59 hp at 6,800 rpm and peak torque of 51 ft. lbs. at 4,750 rpm. The lower peak torque combined with a 5 speed transmission should provide smooth riding wherever the road takes you.

2008 Triumph T100

  • New 2008 colors - Claret/Aluminum Silver with gold coachline, Forest Green/New England White with gold coachline

2008 Triumph T100 - Claret/Aluminum Silver with gold coachline2008 Triumph T100 - Claret/Aluminum Silver with gold coachlineThe T100 defines Classic Roadster styling; classic tank with rubber knee grips, long padded seat, wire wheels and peashooter pipes.

The fuel injected 865cc inline twin starts much easier in cold weather, runs smoother and cleaner than previous carburettor version. Rated at 67 hp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 51 ft. lbs. at 5,800 rpm should provide smooth riding with a retro spirit.
