The Canon Mini Tripod 7 makes an excellent stocking stuffer. The tripod is only 5.9" folded and 3.5oz (100g). The tripod is 5" at its lowest height and 7" at the maximum height. This tripod will support up to 1.5lbs. which is perfect for compact digital cameras, and mini DV cameras. I purchased mine at bhphotovideo.com for $16.95.
