Simple helmet camera mount

This unique camera mount looks like it might be a good, simple solution for some riders. Its an unusual design, mounted to the front of the helmet, and attached to the helmet using a hook-and-loop strap.

Canon Powershot G7

Canon Powershot G7For the motorcyclist/photographer, a new digital camera is always a good choice. The Canon PowerShot G7 10MP Digital Camera with 6x Image-Stabilized Optical Zoom should give the discriminating biker everything he or she wants in a small-format camera.

  • 10MP w/6x optical zoom
  • 2.5" LCD for clear previews of photos and readable controls for settings.
  • 35mm equivelent 28mm-210mm f2.8-f4.8
  • DIGIC III processor w/ face recognition
  • Uses SD Memory cards
  • Lithium Ion battery
  • ISO setting to 1600 for use in dark conditions

Canon Powershot S80 Digital Camera

The Canon S80 is the flagship of the Powershot line. It is a compact camera that has just about every feature one can think of and 8MP resolution. Even though this is a small point and shoot format camera the build quality and feel is top notch as you would expect from Canon.

The included software installs easily and works well. I especially like the PhotoStitch program that allows you create images from multiple photos. This program even works if you forget to use the Stitch Assist function of the camera. I have used this to create panoramic images for this web site.
