- Casey Stoner took the pole position on his last lap at 1:22:292
- Dani Pedrosa turned a 1:22.501 on his 31st lap to secure 2nd place
- Chris Verneulin had a fast time of 1:22.590 -- good for 3rd place
- Nicky Hayden really turned it on to shoot up the grid running a 1:22:624 on his 34th lap
- Valentino Rossi also ran a fast lap at the end of qualifying turning in a lap of 1:22.683 on his 32 lap
