Monterey
Laguna Seca AMA/GP 1983
With the Laguna Seca MotoGP race just days away I thought it would be appropriate to post some photos of the track circa 1983. This was one of the most contested years with Freddie Spencer edging out Kenny Roberts by 2 points for the World Championship. The track was very fast and very dangerous. As you can see there was very little room for runoff and if you did crash there were none of the modern safety features.

Break at Hahn / Smith & Hook for Photos
Stopped for photos at Hahn / Smith & Hook winery. This is in the heart the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation of the Monterey wine country. There are great views of the valley and the mountians.
