SportBikeCam Camera Mount on a CBR954RR
It's nice to be able to capture photos and video on a ride. There are many different mounts available but I think the SportBikeCam is the most secure and is very easy to install and use.
Here are the rear, side and front views of a Canon G1 digital camera mounted on the optional camera riser kit. The camera is mounted using the tripod mount and then mounted to the tank mount with one knob.
Here's a JVC digital Camera mounted to the SportBikeCam mount. For this type of camera where the lens is high on the camera body the riser kit is not necessary. The riser positions the lens too high with this type of camera. Click here to continue...
Sliks Helmet Liner
With the hot weather helmets can get pretty nasty. The Sliks Helmet liner provides valuable solution at a very reasonable list price of $9.95.
The cotton liner is washable and durable. The liner is thin enough so that it does not make the helmet feel too tight. It helps protect the helmet from damaging sweat and oils and prevents that locker room smell.
I’ve worn them for years, they eliminate helmet itch, and my helmets stay in new condition for a long time.
Unbelievable Day in the Hills
Had a meeting in Capitola this morning so I rode down to get through some of the bad traffic areas on 880 and 17. After the meeting I rode up Hwy 9. I started to get that sinking feeling, because there were several areas of one lane traffic and road work.
Once I got through Boulder Creek an unbelievable thing happened - there was not a single vehicle in front of me the entire way up to Hwy 35. I stopped at Four Corners for a few minutes and then decided to ride up to Skywood Trading Post for a sandwich. Again there was not one vehicle on the road in front of me. Click here to continue...
Metzeler ROADTEC Z6 - Mini-review
Yesterday I rode from home to the Amador County fair, via Volcano and Fiddletown. I had a chance to throw the bike around a bit, as there are some nice road sections on that route. Click here to continue...

The stock plank
It's hard to imagine what the factory seat designers are thinking in their design sessions. I can tell you it's definitely not comfort. Here's the stock seat from my Honda CBR954RR. If you are not going to ride for more than 30 minutes this might work for you. Click here to continue...
